Johnny Awesome in your email box again! Here's the deal for this month. I'm very early getting the performance schedule out. The reason is because I have one more chance to raise money for ABATE in August. I did not get my 75 people to show up last month, but I got enough that O'Toole's booked one more date to try again on August 14. I'm not sure where my friends were last month, but this month you all have a lot more time to clear your calendars and get out to this event. Out of over 200 Johnny Awesome Band contacts and over 300 FaceBook friends, I got about 25 people that were kind enough to show up in July. I believe and hope you can do much better with a little more notice this month. The charity event for Michigan ABATE [the motorcycle rights organization] at O'Toole's [4000 Cass Elizabeth Road Waterford, MI 48328] on Saturday August 14. If you can show up at O'Toole's any time during the day or evening Saturday August 14 and mention Johnny Awesome or ABATE, 12.5% of all money you spend will go towards motorcycle rights, motorcycle safety, insurance legislation, and driver awareness. Also 12.5% of all money spent there between 10PM & 2AM will go to the charity.

Please feel free to forward this email to anyone any of you think might be interested in Johnny Awesome, Freedom of choice on the road for motorcycles, Safety for motorcyclists, or just a cold drink or very good dinner!!!!  In fact, if you all will, please forward it to anyone on your email lists that won't be offended by your sending it!!!!

If you ride or know someone that rides and want yourself or them to be safe on the roads from other drivers, you need to support this event!!! [AWARENESS PROGRAM] If you ride or know someone that rides and want yourself or them to know how to be safe on the roads, you need to support this event!!! [MOTORCYCLE RIDING AND ENDORSEMENT CLASSES] If you ride or know someone that rides and want yourself or them to have adequate medical coverage in case of an accident, you need to support this event!!! [INSURANCE LEGISLATION REGULATION] If you ride or know someone that rides and want helmet choice, you need to support this event!!! [LEGISLATIVE SUPPORT, INVOLVEMENT, & PAC GROUPS] ABATE is a great organization that works relentlessly for many causes centered around fairness, tourist dollars, safety from the seat of the scooter and the vehicles sharing the road with them, and the one most people know, helmet choice for adult riders!

Two more things; The more people that show up and spend a little money on themselves Saturday August 14, the more goes to ABATE. Thank you all that did come out for the July fund raiser. There were enough of you that O'Toole's did give it one more shot for August.

I don't often do this, in fact last month was the first time, but I am again asking,no, pleading with my friends to come out Saturday August 14. I'm asking my friends to ask their friends to come out. They've got great food at O'Toole's. If you know anyone who likes to eat out, please send them there Saturday August 14 and have them mention Johnny Awesome or ABATE when they order.


 

This is important to me. I support all of you and my community every day in many ways. I'm asking for some support from you now. No one has to stay all night, you can have one drink and leave, but PLEASE show up if you can. Walk in the door with a pile of people, mention Johnny Awesome or ABATE, have one anything and leave again, that's all I'm asking. I'd rather you stayed, but walking in and mentioning Johnny Awesome or ABATE is enough!!!
