"Getting the word out" is often the most difficult, frustrating, and time consuming challenge associated with putting on an event ... 
not to mention the expense involved.

  Print and distribute your flyers to every place you can get to put them on display.... and don't forget the gas stations, video stores and convenience stores!  

                     It's called leg-work and it has to be done!

(Cost saving tip)

   Use all your connections and contacts to get the word out in any way you can and don't forget that most local newspapers are more than happy to write about groups that are doing charity fundraising and the ever-expanding motorcycle-public is of great interest to them.  Local TV and radio stations ... same thing.  BUT ... you have to tell them (in advance) about what's going on.... and 'face to face' works best. (Get a representative of the charity you are fundraising for to go along on your visit to the newspapers and stations.)

   Invite reporters to attend as your group's guest - if they don't have a bike, put them on with somebody you totally trust - they'll love it and they'll do a great story on their 'adventure'.  Yes, it's after-the-fact, but that's okay. PR and exposure is what you're after ... think long term, and think big.

Simply put, do the leg-work and talk it up, talk it up, talk it up.

Finally, submit your event info to us AND include the "Find Us On MichiganBikerEvents.com" logo (below) on all your flyers and on ALL print promotions you do. When you talk with the medias, ask them to mention that more info can be found on MichiganBikerEvents.com
