charity events
or motorcycle safety classes or m/c
club sponsored events.
Information will be posted free of charge as quickly as possible after receipt.
The site is updated with newly received event listings at least three times
each week. Events may take place anytime during the calendar year.

If you are
emailing a
text-only
submission (not a
flyer)
put the following in the body of your email
in the order shown:
(1) DATE of the event.
(2) Name or kind OF EVENT
(3) 'CITY'
in which it will START.
(4) 'SPONSOR'
(5) Then put
the additional information
you would like to have included.... along
with
your email or web site address if
applicable.
NOTE:
We will copy and paste your
email keystrokes to the
event information page.
If you are
emailing
a flyer
(in digital form)
include it either as an 'attachment' or 'inserted' in the body of the email
(an 'attachment' is preferred)
PLEASE PUT
"Submit Event for ___(date) ___"
in the Subject line.
Please put a brief text message in the body of the email
containing the name and date of the event. (So we can later connect up
your email address with the event info, etc. in case we need to send a reply.)
If you have multiple events to
submit, send a separate email for each event.
What kind of file??
JPG, PDF, GIF, MS Publisher* or MS-WORD...
but NOT '.docx' files... and not
.wpd files.
JPG's are the file of choice.
72 or 100 dpi is great!
NOTE ~ .docx files: DO NOT SEND MSWord 2007
documents with the
.docx file extension.
Word 2007 users MUST Save the document in an earlier format ... it's an option
in 'Save as type'.
(Earlier / older Word versions that use the
.doc file extension are fine.)
(No 'x' at the end)....
Just open the file and do a 'Save As' and select an earlier file format without
'x' in the extension ...
it's an option in 'Save as type') (Use the small triangle to see the list of
options and select accordingly.)

*A hint for MS-Word Users
...
Not all versions of MSWord maintain their formatting
when transferring for
web site use. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST that you print your document and then scan it
into
a photo format (JPG) and send the JPG... (72 or 100 dpi works fine)... otherwise
your exact formatting
might not be retained.
*Publisher 2003 Users ...
Publisher
2003 files are huge by nature. Here's a Helpful Hint: Once you have
completed and saved your document, then do a "SAVE AS" and in the "Save As
Type" box choose the
jpg format towards the bottom of the list ... send us that file
instead of the original Publisher file.
Horizontal formats (landscape) are
not
recommended.
Yes, we can (and do) work with them, but keep in mind that in almost all
cases we need to reduce all flyers to about 7 1/2" wide to fit on
the event display page. And when an 11" wide dimension is
reduced to 7 1/2", sometimes the text ... especially the small text
becomes almost impossible to read. Again, we will work with them,
but a standard vertical (portrait) format works best.
If you have multiple events to
submit, send a separate email for each event.

to let you know your event has been
added
to the calendars.... so if you don't hear back
within a week, just check the calendar to see
if your event is there. If it isn't, just let us know.

Option 2:
Submit
by regular mail (snail-mail)
You may submit by regular mail to
the address listed below.
Remember, events submitted by regular mail are subject to
a delay in posting time up to 3 weeks. (See above)
But first ....
(A) Make certain
you include "When, What, Where,
& Sponsored by Who".
(B) If not
sending a printed flyer, type the information ...
and please do not type in all upper case.
(C) Include contact information:
Name / Phone / address / etc. and
don't forget your web site or email link if your group has one!
(D) If you have a printed
flyer, simply send it! (see above)
